"The teammates of a 16-year-old high school basketball player who died after collapsing during a weekend tournament were raising money Monday for his funeral and burial.
Witnesses said the junior's collapse during a timeout was sudden. "It's unexplainable. He got a glass of water. He high-fived [a teammate], and then it just happened. He collapsed," Hoopster coach Arnold Martinez said.
