Girls Gone Wild: Another NFL Star Stabbed by Wife

"Police in Detroit said that Denver Broncos DE Jason Hunter was the victim of a stabbing on Wednesday.
Police told the Detroit Free Press that Hunter's girlfriend stabbed him. A 911 call was placed after 9 a.m. ET but police couldn't say when the stabbing occurred.

The Broncos said in a statement they were aware of the incident and trying to learn more.
"Our thoughts are with Jason, and we are hopeful he makes a quick recovery," the team said.

"Out of respect for his privacy, we will not have additional comment on the matter at this time."

Hunter, 27, played last season for the Broncos, and was with the Detroit Lions (2009) and Green Bay Packers (2006-2008) before that.

Hunter's agent, Robert B. Walker said on Twitter: "I've spoken to my client Jason Hunter and it's a very minor injury, just a few stitches. He'll be fine. We thank you for your prayers."" - via USA Today

Update: Brandon Marshall’s Abusive Past

In case you missed it, Dolphin’s player Brandon Marshall was rushed to the hospital this past weekend after being stabbed by his wife of a year, Michi Nagomi-Marshall. While he claimed that he fell on a broken vase, his wife told police she grabbed a knife in self defense.

Ironically, ESPN aired a segment of Outside The Lines in 2009 where they presented several 911 calls as well as an in-depth interview with his ex-girlfriend Rasheedah Watley. In the emotional interview, Rasheedah detailed an extremely abusive relationship with Brandon Marshall. The show presented photographs of cuts, stitches, and bruises on his ex-girlfriend’s body and cited a total of seven police reports in three states and Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, her parents claim they attempted to reach out to his former team but the incidents were swept under the rug.  read source

Dolphins Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall Stabbed By Wife

"Dolphins Pro Bowl receiver Brandon Marshall was stabbed by his wife with a kitchen knife Friday in the Miami area, police said Saturday. Marshall was taken to a hospital, where he remained Saturday after surgery, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Marshall's wife, Michi Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested Friday by the Broward County Sheriff's Office on a domestic-violence charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $7,500 and Nogami-Marshall remained in jail Saturday.

According to the police report, Nogami-Marshall told police she stabbed Marshall in self-defense.

Brandon Marshall initially told police he slipped and fell onto a broken glass vase, but according to the report, police found no blood or evidence to substantiate that statement and said both Marshall and his wife provided little information.

Marshall, 27, was taken to Broward General Hospital in Fort Lauderdale by car and underwent surgery late Friday night for a stab wound to the stomach, sources told Schefter." read source  - Via ESPN
