(COURTESY OF BIO.COM) December 07, 2010Elizabeth Edwards, wife of politician John Edwards, died at her North Carolina home Tuesday after a six-year struggle with breast cancer. She was 61 years old. Edwards, who had previously gone into remission, experienced a decline in health around September when she discovered that the cancer spread to her liver. This week, she made the decision to decline medical further treatment after doctors advised her to discontinue her medical regime.
