An Australian man was jailed for six weeks for feeding his mother's kitten to his dog, the Northern Territory News reported Saturday.
Keith Allen Waldock, 30, was "frustrated" that his mother allowed her seven cats to live inside the house in Batchelor, 62 miles (100km) south of the Northern Territory capital of Darwin, the Darwin Magistrates Court heard.
Prosecutor Ben Humphris said on February 25 Waldock threw the 12-week-old kitten at his ridgeback pitbull cross which was trained to kill cats. Waldock's 13-year-old niece watched as the kitten was mauled to death.
