LADY GAGA ANGERS THE CATHOLIC CHURCH WITH HER "JUDAS" SONG!

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- She's queen provocateur, and this time she has managed to attract the ire of a powerful group.
The fame monster is upping the ante again and taking a shot at the Catholic Church, creating a Holy Week uproar.
Lady Gaga has made a career of stirring up controversy and feeding off the press.  Gaga struts the stages in skimpy outfits and puts on elaborate stage shows.  More recently, she stunned fans with her video 'Born This Way', where she emerges from a womb.
Now it's her latest single titled 'Judas.'  The song is about her love for Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus.  The song got leaked on the Internet Friday.

"It's always edgy and always (about) our religion," said Bill Donohue of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights.  "(And) all during Holy Week."

"Jesus in my virtue and Judas is the demon I cling to..."
"I'm just a holy fool, oh baby he's so cruel, but I'm still in love with Judas baby."
But this isn't the first time Gaga, who's a catholic herself, has shocked the religious community -- she's also dressed as a nun on stage and she's swallowed the rosary.
Some Catholics in New York say they are through with her antics.  "God is God. Satan is Satan, Judas is Judas,” said one New Yorker. "I've listened to the lyrics and I don't know them, exactly, but it's a not for me."

While some Catholics believe Gaga's in it just for the publicity, the controversy has gotten other non-religious fans curious about the song.
