SNOOKI'S 32,000 DOLLAR SPEACH GETS NJ STATE SENATOR ANGRY!!

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) -- A New Jersey state senator is not fist pumping after Rutgers University paid “Jersey Shore” reality star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi $32,000 to impart her wisdom during a speaking engagement.
Sen. Joe Kyrillos wants to sponsor a bill that would allow students to opt out of any event that the student body funds with mandatory fees.
"We have more than 200 events on our campus during the course of the year, everything from scholarly presentations to entertainment," Rutgers spokesman Steve Manas said. "The students canvassed for who they wanted here and had the funds available."
But Kyrillos says he believes a portion of the student body objected to the use of funds, and they shouldn’t be forced to pay.
Some Rutgers students agree with the senator. "The fact that our school spent more money on her than Toni Morrison is a little ludicrous," said student Hina Rehman, 20. "Snooki has no accomplishments or achievements that are worthy of that money."
More than 1,000 students attended the event.
