Obama Talks Osama on 60 Minutes (video)

"While this past weekend was filled with Mom appreciation, NBA playoffs, Tina Fey in maternity pants, and the adoration of Shane Mosley’s girlfriend, Bella…..on Sunday night there was also headier things going on with President Obama’s interview with Steve Kroft on 60 Minutes. Basically an extended, public debriefing of what happened in Pakistan one week ago, when Navy Seals killed Osama Bin Laden, while the Pres and his cabinet monitored from their Situation Room.

"President Obama discusses the emotions of the Situation Room, the moment when the Navy Seals in Pakistan said “Geronimo has been killed.” Obama says “I was relieved, I wanted the guys to get over the Pakistan border, and I was deeply proud of our team.

(Did you see the pictures of the body?)

Yes.

(What was your reaction?)

It was him.

Obama also says that they believe Bin Laden was in that Pakistani “mansion” for 5 years….which obviously brings up the issue of how much help Pakistan gave to hiding OBL. (Related: things between the US and Pakistan are tenuous…Pakistani media just outed the top CIA person in Islamabad…which is obviously, like putting a target on his head.)" - via MissInfo
