Parent Accuses High School Swim Coach of Assault

"When a Roseville High School assistant girls' swim coach grabbed the captain of the varsity team last Friday, was it misdemeanor battery or just bad behavior?  That will be up to the Placer County District Attorney's office to decide.  Roseville police have taken a report and intend to send it to the D-A's office on Wednesday.

It happened at a league meet on Friday.  A videotape of the incident appears to show assistant coach Geoff Capell pulling Jennifer McCarroll out of the water by her hair.   Witnesses say his aggressive action wasn't warranted.  They believe he was angry at McCarroll and another swimmer for "intentional disqualification."

Capell resigned from the volunteer position of assistant coach on Monday and the Roseville Joint Unified School District is apologizing for his actions. " read more - via fox40
