Game and Lil' Wayne Music Video Banned From MTV and BET

"Nothing makes fruit taste better than to tell everyone it’s forbidden, and rapper Game says he has released his new “Red Nation” video himself because BET and MTV won’t show it.

In a series of tweets, Game said BET “banned” the video because it’s “too gang affiliated” and that “this video so hard it just got banned from MTV, too.”

The track features Lil Wayne (pictured with Game, above right) and features the theme of “red.” That includes references to flags and baseball caps, as well as blood and imagery that may conjure the Bloods gang. The video, an unedited version of the song, includes explicit language and violent scenes woven into a series of rap and pop culture references that range from Chad Ochocinco to Malcolm X, Tupac and Yogi Berra. .

Neither MTV nor BET had any official comment, according to the website Hip Hop DX, but MTV doesn’t play a lot of videos these days to start with.

Game also self-released the video for his 2006 track “One Blood.”  " - via DailyNews
