Cee-Lo Dedicates New Song “Thank You” To Firefighters

"Did you know Cee Lo Green’s mom was a volunteer firefighter???

This weekend, Cee Lo Green and Duracell revealed a limited-edition download of their free charity track, ‘Thank You.’

The song and corresponding music video were created as an ode to the 1 million volunteer firefighters across the country who put their lives on the line on behalf of their communities.

The Grammy Award-winning artist has a close personal connection with the cause. As a child growing up in Atlanta, Cee Lo’s mother served as a volunteer firefighter. Years later, she was miraculously rescued following a near-fatal car accident by a group of her off-duty volunteer colleagues. The limited-edition track, a re-recording of his mega hit ‘Forget You,’ is available for FREE downloads at Facebook.com/Duracell. Fans can also watch the music video here:  - via Bossip
